5th & 6th May Open Shoot - "The Offshoot"
The
offshoot, featuring the spectacular displays of smoke generation that is the
“WORLD FAMOUS TIMED REVOLVER”, and, in a triumphant return after many years,
“THE TURKEY SHOOT” – see those gobblers and take aim.
And then, as
if that is not enough – “THE MAGNIFICENT HYTHE” – the finest test of
marksmanship and weather forecasting ever staged with Enfield Rifles.
This event is
open to all comers. MLAGB and JML & AFA rules will apply.
Reminders:-
When people are
forward no firearms will be left loaded or handled on the firing point.
No capping off
or loading before the RCO orders “open fire”. No loaded or part loaded firearms
to be removed from the firing point without the RCO’s instruction.
On the command
“cease fire” anyone loaded or part loaded must advise the RCO and await
instructions. Firearms must be unloaded when falling back to the next distance
in the Hythe.
If you are
sharing a firearm or wish to borrow one please indicate on your entry form.
Entries on the day will be allowed if space is available. If you are not
shooting the next detail be prepared to move your kit from the firing point.

Prizes – in the
Corinthian tradition, we shoot for the camaraderie and sporting good will. Those
lucky enough to win a competition will enjoy the admiration of their fellows. If
Messrs Arnold & Callan can find some medals or other tokens of sporting prowess
these may be awarded, subject to availability.
